悲しげで大げさな音楽をこれでもかと流す。演技が真にせまっていれば（演出）大抵の観衆は自動的に泣く。

泣くのは快感だから、大抵の観客は泣かされても文句は言わない。

みうらじゅんはそういうのを「涙のカツアゲ」と呼んだ（Always三丁目の夕日を例にあげて）。
